NALCN Suppport to Research Projects - Libellas Foundation

Fundación Libellas provide funding for high-quality research projects on NALCN-related diseases, especially the CLIFAHDD and IHPRF type 1 and 2 syndromes.

We especially focus on research projects that will ultimately pave the way to the identification of novel therapeutics to improve the quality of life for those living with NALCN-related disorders.

“Raise necessary funds to support national and international laboratories in their investigation of physiological defects related to NALCN ion channel dysfunctions with the aim to propose innovative therapeutics for CLIFAHDD and IHPRF patients”.

“Promote research and investigation of the role of NALCN in any other pathology”.
In recent years, there have been critical discoveries that have improved the understanding of NALCN. There are still unanswered questions, but continued research on the NALCN helps to answer those questions.
